This summer London’s Knightsbridge area has been filled with people from the Gulf states and the Middle East, notably – Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Dubai.
British residents have always seen the summer as time to escape to the sun; to the South of France, the Italian Riviera or Spain. We Brits it seems want sand, sangria, some lovely heat and a swimming pool.
Indeed for some anywhere but London (if you live there anyway). However for the mega wealthy families of the Gulf states, it is London that they prefer. They love London, because they are made to feel welcome, and they feel safe too. So expect to see them in their droves and expect to see their fancy cars (and number plates) too.
